Delhi- Perhaps there is no other capital city in the world so steeped in history and legend as the Indian capital Delhi. It was the magnet, which drew the Mongols, Turks, Persians, Afghans, Mughals and the British, all of whom contributed to its glorious but turbulent past. The fascination with Delhi was such that even though it was abandoned many times, its rulers returned to it again and again rebuilding it at least seven times. Today, the twin cities of Old and New Delhi still intrigue Indians and tourists alike as the cultural and political capital of the largest democracy in the world.

Day 05 : Jaipur – Ranthambore National Park

After breakfast, Transfer to Ranthambore, A voyage into the Ranthambore sanctuary is an exciting experience particularly if you are lucky enough to sight the Tiger. The most pulling factor about Ranthambore is the Tiger. The big cat is totally casual about staring humans and there have been enough wildlife movies shot in the place to advertise the fact. But tigers have their moments of privacy and these seem to outweigh those moments when they don’t mind being watched.

Ranthambore was among one of the very first sanctuaries to come under the auspices of Project Tiger and from a few dozens the number of tigers have increased to a little over a hundred. Now a national park, it has an area of over 400 square kilometers. Most of the big cats are so secure and protected that they can be seen hunting during the day particularly around the two lakes.

After Lunch depart for exciting game ride inside the forest. Evening enjoy bonfire activities. Overnight stay at hotel.

See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces., On arrival at Agra check in at hotel, Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 08 : Agra-Delhi-Departure: Morning Sightseeing tour of Agra

Taj Mahal- Described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, it was constructed by Mughal emperorShah Jahan as a memorial to his queen Mumtaz Mahal, made out of white marble took 22 years to complete (1630-1652 AD). Ustad Ahamad Lahori, a Persian Architect, is said to be the main designer and planner for this magnificent memorial. On full moon nights, the glory of the Taj is at its best. Over the centuries, the Taj has attracted more visitors than perhaps any other Monuments in the country, and it is all too easy resort to conventional superlatives when describing it. What makes the Taj Unique is its perfect proportions, distinct femininity, medium of construction and ornamentation. Its marble exterior reflects rose and golden tints at sunrise and sunset, while it is dazzling white during the day and glowes pearl-like in the moonlight and during the monsoon.

Agra Fort- Construction of the massive red sandstone Agra Fort on the bank of the Yamuna River was begun by Emperor Akbar in 1565, though additions were made up until the rule of his grandson, Shah Jahan. In Akbar’s time the fort was principally a military structure, but during Shah Jaha regin it had partially become Palace. It is an imposing strcture with walls of red sandstone almost three kilometers long. Entered through the Amar Singh Gate, the eastern part of the fort contains palace, audience hall and mosques built by three emperors. The fort presents a good sampling of their favored architectural styles.
